Countryside inside the M25
Arkley feels more like a Hertfordshire village than part of London. Houses are spread along lanes and around Barnet Gate, with open fields between them. The area's best-known landmark is Arkley windmill, a tower mill that has stood on the ridge for over two centuries, and Arkley Golf Club sits on the high ground nearby.
Few buses, long lanes

The closest area to Barnet Hospital
Barnet Hospital on Wellhouse Lane is just down the road, which makes Arkley one of the quickest places for hospital runs. Appointments, visiting and discharge pickups are all regular bookings. For the Tube, High Barnet station in High Barnet is a five to ten minute drive.
Airports via the A1 and M1
