Mill Hill Village and the Ridgeway
Old Mill Hill runs along the Ridgeway, high above the rest of the area, with long views south over London. Mill Hill School, founded in 1807, sits here among the village's listed houses and conservation areas. Down the hill, Mill Hill Broadway is the busy centre, with shops, cafés and the Thameslink station.
Two stations, two lines
Mill Hill has two very different stations. Mill Hill Broadway is on Thameslink, with direct trains to St Pancras, and Mill Hill East is the end of a short Northern line branch from Finchley Central. They're too far apart to walk between, so a Mill Hill cab is often the missing link, especially to reach a mainline terminus like King's Cross.
Luton by road or rail
Thameslink runs from Mill Hill Broadway to Luton Airport Parkway, where you change onto the shuttle to the terminal. With luggage, children or a very early flight, a car is simpler: the M1 is right next to Mill Hill, and Luton Airport is often only 25 to 35 minutes by road. Heathrow is around 40 to 55 minutes via the M1 and M25.
Millbrook Park and new neighbours
The new Millbrook Park neighbourhood, built on the former Inglis Barracks site near Mill Hill East, has brought many new residents. We pick up across the development and the surrounding roads, and run regular trips over to Totteridge and Arkley.
