The flying-saucer station
Southgate station is one of the most recognisable on the Underground. Designed by Charles Holden and opened in 1933, it's a circular building topped with a roof that looks like a flying saucer, with the bus station wrapped around it. It's a handy landmark for pickups: tell us which side you'll be on and your driver will stop nearby.
Grovelands and the green
Grovelands Park, a short walk from the station, was laid out by the landscape designer Humphry Repton around a house by John Nash. Nearby, Southgate Green keeps the feel of the old village, with shops along Chase Side and The Bourne. We collect from all of them.
Everyday Southgate cabs
Southgate sits between Cockfosters, East Barnet and Friern Barnet, and many of our bookings run between them: school runs, trips to Barnet Hospital or the North Middlesex, and evening pickups from the restaurants around the station.
Airports from Southgate
The Piccadilly line runs from Southgate to Heathrow, but it's a long ride with luggage. By car, the M25 via Cockfosters Road or the North Circular gets you to most airports faster. Stansted and London City are two of the easiest runs from N14.
